Scope

What the price covers, and what it does not.

HF-8 is a self-managed server. The list on the right is not a gap we intend to fill later — it is the other product.

In the price

  • Full root access on a KVM virtual machine with its own kernel
  • One dedicated IPv4 for the life of the server
  • SSD storage on every size, named on the plan (NVMe where the supplier states it)
  • Browser console straight to the machine for when SSH is the thing that broke
  • Rebuild onto any image in about a minute, keeping the same IP address

Not in the price

  • Nobody patches the operating system but you — this is a self-managed server
  • No Windows images: every image we ship is Linux
  • We do not resell control panel licences (cPanel, Plesk or otherwise)
  • No snapshots or size changes from the panel yet: changing size is a support request, and a copy before a risky change is yours to take
  • No private networking between servers: traffic between two of your own servers uses their public addresses
  • Regions cannot be changed in place; moving means a new server and a DNS cutover
  • Prepaid terms are not pro-rated if you destroy the server early

Line

HF-8 sits on the High frequency line. Cores on this line are shared with other tenants on the same host. Bursts are quick; an hour pinned at 100% is not something a shared core can promise.

These are the questions this plan actually gets, answered without the marketing round-off.

Why three vCPU rather than four?
Because that is the true allocation on this host shape, and we would rather publish an odd number than round it up to a nicer one.
Does the disk get faster on this line too?
There is more of it per gigabyte of RAM. We do not publish IOPS figures for any plan, because we have not measured them under conditions you could reproduce, and a supplier's headline number would not survive contact with your workload.
