Managed · Server included
A managed server is a different product, not a tick-box on this one.
Every cloud VPS we sell is self-managed: you hold root and the operating system is your responsibility. If that is not the deal you want, managed plans start at $29.00 a month with the server in the price — and they are scoped with you rather than bought blind.
Published tiers
What each tier commits to.
These are the figures we hold ourselves to. The server is inside the price — there is no second invoice for the machine.

Why this page is not a plan grid
The catalogue has no managed VPS with a spec sheet, and we are not going to draw one.
Most hosts publish a “managed VPS” table by taking a self-managed plan and adding a number. Here is why ours does not.
Management is priced by the work, not by the vCPU
Two servers with identical specifications can be an hour a month and a day a month depending on what is installed on them. Charging by core count would mean overcharging the simple case to cover the hard one.
The tiers carry no compute figures, so we print none
Our managed tiers record websites, storage, migrations and response times. They do not record vCPU, RAM or a region — so any spec table on this page would be invented. Where we do not have a figure, you get the absence rather than a plausible-looking guess.
There is no cart button, on purpose
Managed starts with us looking at where the site runs now, what it is built on, how much traffic it takes and when it can be moved. A checkout would mean guessing at all four. You will get a straight answer, including “you do not need this tier”.
The same jobs, twice
Who does what, on each side of the line.
A self-managed server starts at $7.90 a month. The difference in price is the work in this table — nothing else about the platform changes.
| The job | Self-managed VPS | Managed |
|---|---|---|
| Choosing the size of the machine | Yours, from the specifications on each plan page. | Ours, from your traffic — which is why the tiers publish outcomes rather than a vCPU count. |
| Operating system and stack updates | Yours. Nothing reminds you. | Ours, applied and then checked, and rolled back if they break something. |
| Backups | An optional add-on at 20% of the plan price, and testing it is on you. | Included, on the tier's schedule, and restore-tested by us. |
| Something breaks at 3am | You find out however you have arranged to find out. | We are paged and start work; you get a summary and, on the higher tiers, a first reply inside the published window. |
| Moving an existing site in | Yours to plan and to execute. | Ours, with the number of migrations stated in the tier. |
| Root access | Full and unrestricted from the first minute. | Available on request, on the understanding that you tell us before making changes. |
Questions
The ones that decide it.
Can I just add management to a VPS plan I have already chosen?
What specification do I get on a managed plan?
Which region does a managed plan run in?
Do I still get root?
How do I know I do not need this?
What happens if I outgrow the tier?
