Why this page is not a plan grid

The catalogue has no managed VPS with a spec sheet, and we are not going to draw one.

Most hosts publish a “managed VPS” table by taking a self-managed plan and adding a number. Here is why ours does not.

Management is priced by the work, not by the vCPU

Two servers with identical specifications can be an hour a month and a day a month depending on what is installed on them. Charging by core count would mean overcharging the simple case to cover the hard one.

The tiers carry no compute figures, so we print none

Our managed tiers record websites, storage, migrations and response times. They do not record vCPU, RAM or a region — so any spec table on this page would be invented. Where we do not have a figure, you get the absence rather than a plausible-looking guess.

There is no cart button, on purpose

Managed starts with us looking at where the site runs now, what it is built on, how much traffic it takes and when it can be moved. A checkout would mean guessing at all four. You will get a straight answer, including “you do not need this tier”.

The ones that decide it.

Can I just add management to a VPS plan I have already chosen?
There is no “add management” checkbox on a cloud VPS today, and we are not going to invent a price for one. Managed is sold as its own product with the server included in the monthly figure, because the work depends on what is running rather than on how many vCPU it has. If you already own a self-managed server and want us to take it over, ask support — that is a conversation, and the answer will be a specific quote or an honest no.
What specification do I get on a managed plan?
The published tiers state websites, storage, migration allowance and response time — those are the numbers we hold ourselves to. They deliberately do not quote vCPU, RAM or a region, because on a managed plan sizing is our problem, not yours: we size it from your traffic and move you when the numbers say so. If we printed a spec here we would be making one up, and you would end up arguing about a core count instead of about whether the site is fast.
Which region does a managed plan run in?
Not something we publish as part of the tier, because placement is decided with you when the work is scoped. If you have a residency requirement — data in the EU, or specifically in the UAE — say so in your first message and it becomes part of the scope rather than a surprise afterwards.
Do I still get root?
Yes, on request, and we keep managing the server. The only thing we ask is that you tell us before you change things, so an update of ours does not land on top of a change of yours. Plenty of customers take access and never use it, which is fine — it is about not being locked out of your own system.
How do I know I do not need this?
If you already read release notes, run updates without being reminded, know what your backup restore actually produces, and would notice the site being down before a customer told you — you do not need it. Buy the self-managed server, keep the difference, and come back if that stops being true. We would rather sell you the cheaper thing than the wrong thing.
What happens if I outgrow the tier?
We move you to the next one in place: no rebuild, no migration fee, no downtime, and the difference appears on your next invoice. In practice we usually notice before you do, because we are the ones watching the graphs.
