DS-6: 96 threads, 256 GB, 2 × 1.92 TB NVMe

DS-6 is a true server part rather than a desktop one: 48 EPYC cores, 96 threads, 256 GB of DDR5 and 3.84 TB of NVMe. It is the machine for consolidating an estate onto one bill, or for a workload that has genuinely run out of room on everything above it. At $673.90 a month it is also cheaper per thread than anything else in the lineup.

Order this machine

Tell us the country and how you want the drives arranged. If stock cannot meet the one-business-day commitment, you hear that before you pay.

Scope

What the price covers.

The right-hand column is not a list of things we are working on. It is the shape of the product.

In the price

  • A whole physical machine — no hypervisor of ours, no neighbours, no oversubscription
  • 1 Gbit uplink with unmetered traffic
  • One IPv4 address and a /64 of IPv6
  • Full hardware access: run your own hypervisor, container platform or bare operating system
  • Available in Germany
  • Provisioned within one business day of the order clearing

Not in the price

  • Self-managed: operating system, patching and application support are yours
  • A one-off setup fee applies on the first invoice and is not refundable
  • No hourly billing and no minute-scale provisioning — this is hardware, not an instance
  • No panel-driven resize: changing machine is a migration to a different one
  • No Windows licensing sold with it; the images we support are Linux
  • We do not publish IOPS figures for these drives because we have not measured them ourselves

Suited to

What DS-6 is the right machine for.

Ninety-six server threads and 256 GB — the largest machine we sell.

Consolidating an estate
Ninety-six threads and a quarter of a terabyte of memory replaces a rack of small instances, with one invoice and one machine to keep patched.
A virtualisation host of your own
Run your own hypervisor on it and carve the machine up however you like — it is yours.
Large parallel workloads
Build farms, analysis jobs and anything else that scales with cores until it runs out of them.

Questions

About DS-6 specifically.

Can I run my own hypervisor on it?
Yes. It is a physical machine with full hardware access — install a hypervisor, a container platform or a bare operating system as you prefer. We do not require an agent on it.
How long does a machine this size take to deliver?
The same commitment as the rest of the lineup: within one business day of the order clearing. If stock in the country you asked for cannot meet that, we tell you before taking the money rather than after.
