Step 02

Pick a line

The most cores, RAM and disk per dollar in the catalogue, with a 32 TB monthly allowance.

Step 03

Choose a size

Sizes are fixed shapes, not sliders. Changing size later is a support request, and a smaller size usually means a new server because a disk cannot shrink.

Step 04

Choose an image

MikroTik's own RouterOS 7 image, installed by our team on the server you choose. Nothing else is added.

Cloud Hosted Router as MikroTik publishes it. You set it up from Winbox, WebFig or its terminal.

Step 05

Choose a term and add-ons

Terms are prepaid. Annual takes 5% off the same monthly rate — it is a discount for paying up front, not a different product.

Billing term

$151.90 charged every month. Switch to annual at any renewal.

How many

One router. Each one you add is built separately, with its own address and admin password.

1

A full disk image taken every night and kept for 7 days, stored off the host that runs your server. Adds 20% to the plan price ($30.38/mo on B2-16-100).

Every size here has an x86-64 processor: MikroTik documents CHR for 64-bit x86 only.

Free license

MikroTik's free 60-day trial, in four steps.

Any paid level, p1, p10 or p-unlimited, free for 60 days. The commands are MikroTik's.

  1. 01Create a MikroTik account

Free, at mikrotik.com. The trial is tied to this account, and so is any license you buy later.

  2. 02Connect to your router

Winbox, WebFig in your browser, or SSH, as admin with the password on your service page.

    ssh admin@YOUR_SERVER_IP
  3. 03Start the trial

MikroTik's command. It asks for your mikrotik.com username and password and the level: p1, p10 or p-unlimited.

    /system license renew
  4. 04Check it

Shows the level you have and when the trial ends.

    /system license print
After 60 days. MikroTik's documentation: the router keeps operating at the same level, and software updates and package changes are disabled. A fresh installation can take a new trial, after you set it up again; a copy of the router cannot. To keep updates without reinstalling, buy a license from MikroTik.

Questions

What people ask before they put MikroTik on a VPS.

Is a MikroTik license included?
No. The server comes with RouterOS on MikroTik's free level, which MikroTik says runs indefinitely with upload limited to 1 Mbps per interface. You can start a free 60-day trial of any paid level with one command, or buy a license from MikroTik: p1 for $45, p10 for $95 or p-unlimited for $250, one payment per installation.
How do I get the free trial license?
Create a free account at mikrotik.com, log in to your router and run /system license renew. It asks for your mikrotik.com username and password and the level you want, p1, p10 or p-unlimited. The trial lasts 60 days from the day you take it.
What happens when the 60-day trial ends?
MikroTik's documentation says the router keeps operating at the same level, and software updates and package changes are disabled. An expired trial can only be licensed with a prepaid key bought from MikroTik.
Can I start a new trial later?
MikroTik's documentation says a new trial needs a fresh installation and a new configuration; copying a router does not extend its trial. Ask our support to reinstall RouterOS on your server and you can take a new trial on it, after setting it up again.
How do I connect to the router?
As admin, with the password on your service page, through Winbox, WebFig in your browser, or SSH. The server has its own dedicated IPv4 address.
Which RouterOS version do you install?
The current stable RouterOS 7 from MikroTik on the day we install it. You can upgrade it yourself while your license allows upgrades.
Why are there no ARM servers on this page?
MikroTik documents CHR for 64-bit x86 processors, so this page offers x86 sizes only. Every size here is one of them.
How is the server set up after I pay?
Our team builds the server you chose and installs RouterOS on it, with the admin password on your service page. Your service page and an email tell you when it is ready.
Can I pay by the hour?
Yes, in the cities that sell by the hour, from $0.0113 an hour: a short test router costs a few cents. The form shows the hourly price for each size where it is offered.
Can I pay with crypto?
Yes: card or cryptocurrency (USDT, Bitcoin or Ethereum), and the server costs the same either way. Paying in crypto adds a payment fee of $1 and 5% to the invoice, which the payment page shows before you send anything. Whichever you use, the monthly price renews at the same figure.
